October 25-26, 2008: Fall open house

It’s time to come and celebrate another beautiful fall day with us at Pacheco Ranch as we open our doors to you for a day of wine tasting. We will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, from 11 to 4pm, so please come join us in celebrating our wines. We will be featuring some local artist at the event as well as pouring a selection of library wines. There will also be the opportunity to join our Wine Club, for which you will be able to purchase our wines at a discounted price. We will also be holding special events at the winery throughout the year for our members, so now is a great time to join! We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

OctoBER 4, 2008: New Updated Web site...

Today we updated our web site and brought about a new Photos page to share our pictures, press clippings, and more with everyone! Be sure to check back every now and then for future updates!

SepTember 13, 2008: another fantastic Harvest!

With the help of our good friends and family, we harvested our 2008 crop of grapes to begin the wine making process all over again. Year after year, we always aim for that perfect balance among essential components; sugar, acids, and coloring. Fortunately, we experienced a great growing season and were able to pick when the grapes were at the perfect levels of ripeness. We’d like to give a huge thanks to all those who lent a hand on the big day.

 

SEPTEMBER 2008: HARVeST

With over 30 years under our belts, we have never been more excited to pick our next vintage of grapes. The past few years have been our best harvests to date, and the 2008 harvest will be no exception! The weather on our dry-farmed ranch has been perfect for the vines, and with the help of our friends, family, and wine club members we can't wait to harvest the grapes to make our best vintage yet!

aUGUST 30, 2008: WINE CLUB DELIVERY/PICKUP

For those taking part in the renowned Ignacio Wine Club, Saturday, August 30 marks the second of the semi-annual shipments of our cabernet varietals. For those of you looking to join the Ignacio Wine Club, and take part in special winery events and activities, not to mention the great wines, call us at 415.827.2787 to sign up!

february 16, 2008: 2005 bottling

Ideal climate conditions made for a great 2005 vintage which we bottled a full 28 months after the grapes were harvested. The wine spent it's time aging in French and American oak barrels and has truly developed into a wonderfully smoky, full-bodied wine. A big thanks to all the friends and family who lended a hand with the bottling!
